We are looking for a full-time, native speaking English teacher. We’d love to work with you to provide the best English learning experience for our kids and for yourself to explore beautiful Taiwan while you aren’t working!
Qualifications: A native English speaker with at least a bachelor's degree. Someone who is high energy, hard working, patient, adaptable, and responsible.
Location: Dou-liu City, Yun-lin County (The capital city of Yun-lin County). A small city close to the mountains with some of the best fruit in Taiwan!
Students: Students’ ages range from kindergarten to adults, mostly 1st grade to senior high school.
Work hours:
Saturdays - Sundays: NO WORK! Enjoy your weekend and explore Taiwan! Our school (privately owned) does not have classes on the weekends!
Mondays - Wednesdays , Fridays: the school opens at 12:30 PM and the last classes end around 9:00 give or take.
Thursdays: the school opens at 15:00 PM and last classes end around 9:00 give or take.
Work Expectations: A minimum of 22 teaching hours taught each week. There are class specific textbooks for you to base lesson plans on. Brainstorming fun, engaging, memorable activities is your duty. All we ask is you’re here a couple hours before your first class starts to be fully prepared for each class before you walk into them.
Salary: NT$ 52,800 (monthly) will be paid for teaching the minimum of 22 teaching hours a week. There will be an extra NT$5200 for full attendance. Housing stipend is granted after the first month of work.This is the starting salary and will increase with time worked at the school. Overtime is hourly pay (NT$ 600-800) based on teaching experience. Salary is negotiable for those who graduate from prestigious universities or with excellent teaching experiences.
Contract Duration: a one year work contract will be signed. We are open to listening and signing excellent teachers to a shorter contract due to exceptional conditions, but this is rarely done.
