Varee Chiangmai School in Chiang Mai is looking for a committed and qualified EP Homeroom Teacher to join our primary department. We offer a full-time position with a competitive salary ranging from 50,000 to 60,000 THB per month, based on qualifications and experience. Qualified teachers with over three years of experience can earn up to 60,000 THB.
Our school is renowned in Northern Thailand for its ability to teach both Thai and International Curricula. We are looking for teachers who can plan lessons within an integrated curriculum, ideally with experience in project-based and active learning. Candidates must conduct a successful demo lesson as part of the hiring process.
We offer modern facilities, well-equipped classrooms, and emphasize professional growth through our Teacher Support System (TSS). Teachers can expect opportunities for both professional development and salary increases, especially when pursuing additional qualifications.
Benefits include Allianz Medical Insurance (Plan 1), work permit and visa renewals funded by the school, nine weeks of paid holiday (exclusive of public holidays), and a varied selection of free lunches at our food court.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree and a Teaching Qualification from an accredited institution. We are only accepting applications from native English speakers with passports from the UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. Please send your CV and cover letter to recruitment@varee.ac.th. Note that while TEFL certificates are valued, they are not considered a professional teaching qualification.

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.
📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.
⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.
⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
