Mataneedol International School, located in Khon Kaen, is seeking enthusiastic Native English-speaking teachers for the position of IGCSE Chemistry and Biology Teacher. This full-time role will commence in May 2026. The successful candidate will join a well-established private school known for its professional environment and supportive team, consisting of both foreign and Thai teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IGCSE Biology and Chemistry, following the Oxford IGCSE curriculum.
- Approximately 18 lessons per week.
- Attend daily morning assemblies and participate in school ceremonies and events.
- Prepare assessments twice a year and organize an annual science project.
- Maintain classroom display boards, provide occasional class cover, and prepare weekly lesson plans and summaries.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:45–16:00.
Biology Curriculum Topics:
- Cell structure, organization, and systems
- Photosynthesis, respiration, and bioenergetics
- Ecology and environmental interactions
- Inheritance, variation, and evolution
- Homeostasis and human health
Chemistry Curriculum Topics:
- Atomic structure and the periodic table
- Bonding, structure, and properties of matter
- Chemical reactions and rates
- Quantitative and analytical chemistry
- Organic chemistry and energy changes
Requirements:
- Native English speaker from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Minimum of a 4-year university degree in a relevant subject (BA/BSc or higher).
- TEFL certificate.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and professional with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to grow professionally within a team.
