Tired of chain-school scripts, crowded classrooms and Saturday shifts? Come teach somewhere that does it differently. American English 埃森美語 is a small, government-registered English school in central Banqiao, New Taipei City. Our founder is a University of Michigan graduate and US-licensed teacher who still teaches every day. We're not a franchise. We experiment, measure what works, and keep only what gets kids speaking. The result is a curriculum we developed in-house and have proven in our own classrooms. Now we're growing, and we want one more great teacher on the team. WHY TEACHERS LOVE IT HERE • Monday–Friday, 5:00–8:30 pm. Saturday 10:00-12:00. Your mornings and weekends are yours. • Small classes, real teaching: 12 students or fewer, so you actually know every child and see them improve. • 90-minute lessons with room to go deep, not 40-minute rushes from one class to the next. • A curriculum that works. Developed and refined in our own classrooms, with materials ready for you, so you spend your time teaching, not scrambling to build lessons. • Mentored by a US-licensed teacher. You'll work directly with the founder, not a manager who's never taught. • Your ideas matter. We're small enough to try new things, and good ideas end up in the curriculum. • Easy commute: 11–12 minutes on foot from Banqiao Station (MRT Blue Line, HSR and TRA) or Fuzhong Station. PAY & BENEFITS • NT$62,000–90,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications • ARC / work permit sponsorship • Labor Insurance and National Health Insurance • Start date: November 2026 THE CLASSES • Students from about age 5 through junior high • All-English instruction • Phonics and reading foundations, speaking and confidence, and exam preparation (Cambridge YLE Starters/Movers/Flyers, KET, PET, and GEPT) WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Bachelor's degree (required for a Taiwan work permit), or an existing open work permit / APRC • Native-level English • Experience teaching kids, a teaching license or a TEFL certificate is a big plus • Energy and warmth in the classroom, and you care about pronunciation and getting every child to speak up • Someone who wants to stay, grow, and help build something good HOW TO APPLY Email your CV and a short introduction to teacherchris@americanenglish.com.tw.
