Year 5 Homeroom Teacher Lamai International School (Koh Samui, Thailand) Lamai International School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate Year 5 Homeroom Teacher to join our growing international school community. We are a small, family-oriented international school located on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, Thailand. At LIS, we believe that education should inspire curiosity, develop character, and empower students to make a positive difference in the world. Our approach combines the British Curriculum with inquiry-based learning, strong pastoral care, and a commitment to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). We are looking for a teacher who: - Holds a Bachelor's Degree and a recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, PGCEi, QTS, or equivalent) - Has a minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience - Demonstrates excellent classroom management and positive relationship-building skills - Is passionate about creating engaging, student-centred learning experiences - Believes in the importance of developing the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally - Is enthusiastic about Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and helping students understand real-world issues through meaningful learning experiences - Works collaboratively as part of a supportive team - Is reflective, adaptable, and committed to ongoing professional growth Responsibilities include: - Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the British Curriculum - Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment - Assessing student progress and providing regular feedback to students and families - Working closely with colleagues to support school initiatives and student wellbeing - Contributing to school events, projects, and the wider school community - Integrating inquiry-based learning and sustainability concepts across the curriculum where appropriate What we offer: A supportive and welcoming international school community Small class sizes (20 maximum) A collaborative team culture The opportunity to live and work on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, Thailand If you are passionate about education, eager to inspire young learners, and excited by the opportunity to contribute to a school that values sustainability, character development, and student wellbeing, we would love to hear from you.
