Job Description:
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Native English Teacher. We are Galiano Island English Academy (www.galianoislandeec.com) located in Iksan, S. Korea. It's a much cheaper place to live with immediate access to KTX, Korea's high speed train rail that goes across the country. (1 hour 5m to Seoul).
Work hours are Monday through Friday 1pm to 9pm with a maximum of 5 hours teaching per day and 3 hours lesson preparation time. Classes have a maximum of 8 students and range from elementary to middle school ages. Candidate must be confident preparing interesting and engaging material as that is key to supplementing the curriculum and be knowledgeable in MS Office or comparable word processing programs. Benefits include all those required by the gov't such as 50% health, national pension contributuion, national holidays and 10 days vacation split into two 5 day blocks (summer and winter).
Salary is a base of 2.2m a month with a furnished one room apartment close to the academy included. Salary can be negotiated based on candidates qualifications. We will pay accordingly for the right match (an experienced, professional passionate teacher). We will also pay airfare for those candidates outside of Korea to arrive in the country.
