We're growing and hiring!

Carroll Prep is located near Wat Samian Nari (https://goo.gl/maps/K5VXAscqcrSdt8K79) We started as a languages learning center in 2005 and last year we are growing into a school. We are a small unique hybrid school. We have about 45 students age of 2 -7 years old an we are expecting to have about 90 students this coming May.

We believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially.

We are growing fast in a world with uncertain. We are innovative and always looking for new way of doing thing. We are looking for a team member who is creative, adaptable, problem solving, can take and give good feedback with scientific thinking skills.

A head teacher shall be responsible for the internal organization, management and control of the school. We have about 20 staffs members both Thais and Foreigners. A head teacher must find way to communicate with all members.

Requirement

1. Minimum of 3 years as a teacher within Montessori or Reggio Emilia approach school
2. Minimum of 2 years in management position
3. Bachelor's degree in education or related experience
4. Good communication skill


Job Description

1. Deploying and managing all teaching and non-teaching staff of the school and allocating particular duties to them

2. Ensuring that the duty of providing cover for absent teachers is shared equitably among all teachers in the school (including the head teacher), taking account of their teaching and other duties

3. Ensuring that teachers at the school receive information they need to carry out their professional duties effectively,

4. Ensuring that staff are aware of current educational developments and are kept up to date through an ongoing program of continuous professional development.

5. Leading, motivating, supporting, challenging and developing staff at all levels in order to secure and sustain continuous improvement and staff well-being and to be committed to personal continuing professional development

6. Determining, organizing and implementing a broad and balanced curriculum for the school, having regard to the needs, experiences, interests, aptitudes and stage of development of the pupils and the resources available to the school

7. Ensuring that all aspects of school performance are monitored and evaluated in a robust, cyclical manner and maintaining a record of self-evaluation and areas for improvement, and of progress made in respect of these.

8. Ensuring that newly-qualified teachers and those returning to teaching after a break in service have access to adequate support in their first year of service or resumed service

9. Being responsible for the supervision and training of teachers during their induction periods and making a recommendation at the end of such induction periods as to whether such teachers have met the prescribed induction standards as required by those regulations

10. Ensuring that the progress of pupils of the school is monitored and recorded

11. Ensuring continuing effective systems of planning, assessment, recording and reporting, using data and benchmarks to monitor attainment and progress, in every child’s learning

12. Using this data continuously to support and improve standards.

13. Making arrangements for parents/careers to be given regular information about the school curriculum, the progress of their children and other matters affecting the school, so as to promote common understanding of its aims

14. Creating and maintaining an effective partnership with parents/careers to support and improve pupils’ achievement and personal development

15. Working with parents/careers to ensure children have access to extended services, extracurricular opportunities, homework and other social and educational experiences, e.g. through the PTA

16. Arranging for a deputy head teacher or other suitable person to assume responsibility for the functions of the head teacher at any time when s/he is absent from the school.

17. Making arrangements for the security, maintenance, development and effective supervision of the school buildings and their contents and of the school grounds, and ensuring (if so required) that any lack of maintenance is promptly reported to the maintaining authority or, if appropriate, the governing body.
