Job Description:
We are looking for a regular Early Years & Key Stage 1 teacher to join the teaching team with a view to this teacher becoming the Lead Teacher in the following academic year.
The school is is a pop-up early years school (up to 6 years old) focusing on outdoor play-based learning. Our mission is to make quality early years education more accessible, affordable, and more community-centered. The school focuses on 3 main pillars which are outdoor learning, active play, and English language.
This is not a traditional school in many senses. The teacher will be required to travel around in the local area to students at their condominiums, teaching small groups of students. All travel expenses will be covered. The main teaching hours will be at the weekend and some teaching during the week. Thus the weekend will be in lieu on 2 different days (typically Monday & Tuesdays).
Early years related experience is useful but not a limitation. Proficiency in both English and Thai are useful but not a limitation. We are looking for passionate people who care deeply about child development, who are curious, fun, open, and willing to learn, and who have the passion to contribute a positive impact to the communities in Bangkok.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years prior Early Years and/or KS1 teaching experience
- Must have experience using the British EYFS curriculum - experience with Reggio Emilia and Forest School highly desirable
- Must have a B.Ed in Early Years (or related) and/or a PGCE
Salary – 75,000 to 85,000baht dependent on candidate’s experience, qualifications and skills set - this will increase for the Lead Teacher role
Native English Speaker or very near native level. Health insurance, holiday pay and sick pay provided.
