NIVA American International School in Bangkok is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher. This position focuses on English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies, with additional responsibilities in teaching Mathematics and Science.
NIVA American International School is accredited by WASC and offers education from Nursery to Grade 12, following the American curriculum. Located in the Lat Phrao/Bang Kapi area of Bangkok, the school emphasizes student support, wellness, and child safeguarding.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or a four-year degree with a full, internationally recognized teacher certification (e.g., U.S. State License, PGCE), or a 5-year Thai license.
- At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience in an international school setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Education (M.Ed.), or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with PGCE or equivalent.
- A current U.S. or U.K. Teacher License.
- Experience teaching the Common Core Curriculum.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary ranges from 50,000 to 90,000 THB per month, based on credentials and experience.
- Enjoy 12 weeks of paid holiday annually, prorated for mid-year hires.
- Additional benefits include a housing allowance, medical insurance, an annual performance bonus, and a provident fund for retirement.
Expectations:
- Manage a workload of 24 periods per week, with each period lasting 45 minutes. Responsibilities include homeroom and classroom management duties.
- Participation in all meetings and school functions is expected.
