Theodore International School (TIS) in Chumphon, Thailand, is seeking a qualified Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher for a full-time position. The role involves teaching a variety of subjects including Science, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Art, and Technology. The successful candidate will benefit from a competitive salary ranging from 39,000 to 44,000 THB per month, which includes housing and food stipends.
Additional benefits include low-cost on-campus housing, free lunch on working days, and health insurance for teachers signing multi-year contracts. There are opportunities for extra income through tutoring TIS students at a rate of 500 baht per hour, potentially earning an additional 3,000 to 5,000 baht per month. Summer school tutoring is also available at the same rate.
The teaching position offers a generous holiday schedule with 35 paid holidays between August and June, including extended breaks during Christmas/New Year and Thai Songkran in April.
Candidates should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree and have proficiency in English. Non-native speakers with excellent language skills and classroom experience are encouraged to apply. Desired but not essential skills include previous teaching experience, a TEFL diploma, and familiarity with educational technology platforms like Google Classroom.
The teacher orientation will start on August 3, 2026, and Term 1 will commence on August 14, 2026, ending on June 4, 2027. Teaching hours will not exceed 20 per week, with an additional 2 to 5 hours per week for extra duties such as student monitoring.
