Job Description:

British Council Thailand is seeking Hourly Paid Instructors of English to join our team in Bangkok. This position involves teaching students, monitoring and supporting learner progress, contributing to course evaluation and development, engaging in professional growth, and supporting the broader objectives of the British Council.

This is a fixed-term, 1-year renewable, hourly paid contract. Positions are available at our teaching centers on weekends and at partner schools during weekdays, with all roles involving instruction of children.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and a CELTA or equivalent qualification, along with some experience teaching young learners. Familiarity with Thai learners is preferred. Both native and non-native speakers are encouraged to apply. Non-native speakers must demonstrate CEFR C2 English proficiency, with an IELTS Academic score of 8 or higher.

The starting pay is 631 THB per hour, with potential increases based on qualifications. Teaching hours are compensated at a rate of 1.5 times to include preparation time. Additional benefits include a paid visa and work permit, along with opportunities for training and development.
