Teaching Positions – Kindergarten, Elementary, and Secondary (American Curriculum)
NIVA American International School is seeking qualified and experienced educators for multiple teaching positions starting in mid-July 2026.
- Nursery–Kindergarten teaching positions available
- Elementary positions focus on all core subjects: ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies
- Secondary positions (Middle and High School) include ELA, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Computer Science/Robotics, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
NIVA is a WASC-accredited, mid-sized school (Nursery–Grade 12) located in the Lat Phrao/Bang Kapi area of Bangkok, delivering an American curriculum aligned with Common Core standards. The school maintains a clear focus on academic rigor, student support, and child safeguarding.
Expected Requirements
- Language: American English proficiency required, demonstrated through an interview, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in an academic English environment, and committed to modeling and teaching pronunciation to students.
- Experience: Minimum of two years full-time teaching experience; experience in an American curriculum or U.S.-accredited schools, if possible.
- Expertise: Has a strong understanding of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the MAP/NWEA data analysis skills to implement targeted instructional interventions to improve student learning outcomes.
- Certification: Must have a degree in an educational field. Having a valid teaching license is preferred. Other non-education degrees (B.Sc./B.A.) in a specific subject area can be eligible as long as they are committed to doing a Thai or International teaching qualification and be able to obtain a Thai Teaching License.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: 60,000+ THB per month (commensurate with credentials and experience)
- Paid Holiday: 6 weeks paid holiday per year
- Benefits: Medical Insurance and Provident Fund (Retirement)
Professional Expectations
- Approximately 24 teaching periods per week (45-minute periods)
- Homeroom, supervision, and classroom management responsibilities
- Attendance at all meetings and school functions
Mandatory Screening
- Provide three (3) professional referee contacts (including current Head of School/Principal). All referees will be contacted
- A teaching demonstration may be required
- NIVA is committed to child safeguarding and conducting rigorous background checks
