Kidz Village International Kindergarten is looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Class Teacher to join our early years team. Our institution serves children aged 12 months to 6 years, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, enhanced by The Project Approach to promote inquiry-based and child-centered learning.
Position Overview:
The Lead Class Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering a high-quality early years program that fosters children's development in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role involves leading the classroom, collaborating with teaching assistants, and building strong relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Observe, assess, and document children's learning and development.
- Lead and support classroom assistants/teachers effectively.
- Foster strong communication and partnerships with parents.
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and emotional care of all students.
- Contribute to school events, activities, and the wider school community.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (PGCE or equivalent preferred).
- Background in Early Years Education through study and/or work experience.
- Sound knowledge of child development and early learning practices.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A caring, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching young children.
