King’s College of English in Bangkok is a prestigious language center seeking a dedicated Native English Speaker (NES) to join our team at the Rama 9 branch. This full-time position offers a competitive monthly salary of 35,000 Baht and the chance to work in a professional and supportive environment focused on delivering high-quality English language education.
The successful candidate will conduct English lessons in one-on-one and small-group settings, ensuring that classes are engaging and tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Classes for children aged 5 to 17 are held on weekends, while weekday sessions are primarily dedicated to private lessons for older students and adults.
Applicants are expected to design and implement well-structured lesson plans that align with our curriculum, employ innovative teaching methods, and incorporate authentic English materials. Responsibilities include evaluating student performance through homework, class participation, and exams, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate progress records.
The teaching schedule involves approximately 22 to 24 hours per week, with minimal administrative duties, allowing teachers to be on-site only during scheduled classes. This provides a balanced workload and a flexible timetable. The role is low-stress, with no take-home obligations, and encourages the use of personal teaching resources to enhance lessons.
Weekend group classes have a maximum of 12 students, ensuring personalized attention to individual progress, while weekday lessons are largely one-on-one. This position is contracted for one year, with the potential for renewal upon mutual agreement.
King’s College of English is located in a modern shopping complex in the Rama 9 district of central Bangkok, conveniently above an MRT station for easy access. Interested candidates can learn more at our website.

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.
⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.
⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
