Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
• To undertake the responsibilities of a subject teacher in relation to the classes allocated.
• Must have a strong curricular knowledge to develop appropriate lesson plans for
Secondary Social Studies.
• Maintain an effective classroom management. Develop good habits and
discipline in the classroom
• Provide clear learning structures that maintain pace and challenge the interest of the
learners.
• Use a variety of teaching techniques and learning styles to ensure students are engaging
and receiving quality instructional time.
• Motivate students to actively participate in class discussions, activities and presentation.
• Select and make good use of technologies for instructions, classroom management and
assessment.
• Keep track of individual pupil’s progress to set targets and create well informed planning.
• Provide reports of the students' progress to the Principal, Head of
Department, and parents as necessary.
• Establish an effective and respectful working relationships with colleagues, parents,
community groups and stakeholders.
• Must be willing to perform additional duties assigned by the school and attend staff
meetings and professional development training as required.
• Follow school policies outlined in the employee handbook, including Child Safeguarding
and Health and Safety procedures.
• Be willing to accompany students on field trips and school activities outside of
instructional day when required.
Requirements -
• A Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Education is preferred. If not, at least a
Bachelor's Degree with a teaching qualification.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience and having an experience in
teaching Cambridge curriculum will be an advantage.
• Must have a good organizational and time-management skills
• Non-native candidates must have a near-native commend of English, both in written and
spoken.
• Must have recommendation letters from the last 2 schools you worked.
• Must arrive in Yangon before 20th of July.
Remuneration Package -
1. USD $1800 - $2000 or THB 65000 - 73000
