St. Andrews International School, Sukhumvit 107 in Bangkok is seeking a dedicated Thai Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, adhering to Cognita Safeguarding and Child Protection policies at all times. If any concerns about a child's welfare arise, the job holder must report to the School's Child Protection Officer or Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Thai lessons for non-native classes from primary to secondary levels.
- Develop and implement the Thai language, culture, and history curriculum in alignment with MOE and international school standards.
- Prepare appropriate teaching resources.
- Assess students' progress and achievements according to school policies.
- Maintain high standards of student work and behavior.
- Collaborate with the Thai department for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
- Participate in Thai cultural events with the school community.
- Attend school meetings, training activities, and other social events as required.
- Organize and run at least one after-school extracurricular activity.
- Support and engage with the school community.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school or line manager.
Position Requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in Thai.
- Ability to teach Thai Non-Native and some first language classes to secondary students.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Knowledgeable in differentiating instruction for varying student abilities.
- Flexible and committed to teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education in Teaching Thai Language or Bachelor of Arts majoring in language or related fields.
- Holder of a Thai Teaching License.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an international school setting.
