Disclaimer
This job is ONLY for people who grew up in North America. We don’t care about your citizenship, ethnicity, or skin color, but you must have lived in the U.S. or Canada for many years. This role involves writing ads for an American audience, and there’s a lot of cultural context that simply can’t be taught. (For reference, we’re Canadian and have also lived in the U.S., so we know what works.) Please don’t apply if this doesn’t apply to you—we won’t hire you.
About the Role
We’ve had great success hiring English teachers in China for this position before, so we’re hoping to find another perfect fit! The job is straightforward: you’ll write scripts for 1-3 minute video ads that we run on Facebook and TikTok. These ads are for our pet supply e-commerce store (one of the two online shops we currently operate).
We’re a small team with fewer than 10 employees, and we understand that people work to make money—which is why we’re upfront about the financial potential here.
What’s in it for YOU?
Base Salary: $3,000 USD/month to start. Don’t worry—we’ll help you optimize your taxes legally so you can keep most of it! Your salary will grow as your performance improves. The $3k/month is just your starting point while we invest in training you.
Earning Potential: Our last hire started at $3k/month, hit $6k/month by month 4, and now earns $11k/month + bonuses after a year. If you perform well, we’ll happily pay you more. It’s simple: the better your ads perform, the more money we all make—and we’re more than willing to share that success.
Fully Remote Role: You can work from anywhere! That said, we’d prefer you to be based in Asia for the first 4-6 months to align with our time zone (we’re based in Hong Kong).
Results-Oriented Freedom: We don’t micromanage or track hours. If you can deliver great results in fewer hours as you get better, we’re all for it.
What’s the Job?
Scriptwriting for Ads: Your main task will be writing short ad scripts (the voiceovers for those catchy Instagram and TikTok ads you see while scrolling). You’ll also help choose video clips to go with your scripts, but the focus is on your writing.
Performance-Based Work: Think of this role like a sales job, but instead of calls or meetings, you’ll be selling through your writing. It’s all done on Google Docs, and you’ll need to spend hours researching, watching TikToks, YouTube videos, and learning about the products we’re marketing.
What You Should Know
The Hours: This isn’t your typical 9-to-5 job. Expect to work 10-11 hours a day, especially at the start. On top of that, we strongly recommend using your downtime to read books and watch videos about copywriting and marketing (this isn’t mandatory, but trust us—you’ll see the difference in your scripts and your paycheck). The harder you work upfront, the faster you’ll improve and start earning more.
The Learning Curve: If you’ve never done sales, copywriting, or marketing, you’re entering a whole new world. We’ll dedicate a lot of time to teaching you, but you’ll need to hustle hard to truly excel. It’s not easy at first, but if you stick with it, the rewards are huge—not just financially, but in the skills you’ll develop.
Work-Life Balance (or Lack of It): Let’s be honest—the first year will be intense. This isn’t a role where you clock out at 5 p.m. and forget about work. But we promise this: your effort will pay off. At the end of the day, this job is about putting serious cash into your bank account—and there’s no ceiling to how much you can earn if you perform well.
How to Apply?
Applying is simple:
Email me directly at ronald.mmma6@gmail.com
(I’m using a Gmail account because I don’t want 300 emails on our shop’s email accounts—and yes, this is my direct email, not some HR person who will waste your time with dummy questions.)
The job is about writing ads/sales, so send me a paragraph explaining why you’re applying (and maybe your CV, even if it’s unrelated to copywriting—I just want to make sure that you’re US/Canada-related).

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.
You need to be from one of the following counties to teach English in China: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. However, schools in China can still hire teachers from other countries as subject teachers or teaching assistants and managers.
Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
