Montessori Academy Bangkok International School is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Elementary Assistant Teacher to join our expanding team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for educators who enjoy working with children, value teamwork, and seek professional development within a genuine Montessori setting.
In this role, the Elementary Assistant Teacher will support the Montessori Lead Guide in maintaining a calm, engaging, and well-prepared classroom environment. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job Montessori training and mentorship to gain confidence in their role.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Lead Teacher with daily classroom operations.
- Supporting classroom management and supervising students.
- Helping to prepare and maintain an orderly and inviting learning environment.
- Delivering selected lessons and small-group activities under the Lead Teacher's guidance.
- Supporting student well-being, independence, and positive social development.
- Assisting with projects, field trips, and special school activities.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (Education, English, or related field preferred).
- Native English speaker.
- Preferably at least 3 years of teaching experience.
- Passionate about working with children and aiding their development.
- Professional, positive, and reliable attitude.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Internationally minded and culturally sensitive.
- Commitment to child safeguarding and school policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Montessori training or experience.
- Experience with Project-Based Learning or the International Baccalaureate (IB).
- Special Education qualifications or experience.
- Background in child psychology or a related field.
