Position: Lead SAT English Tutor & Test Prep Specialist
Omega Prep is seeking a highly analytical, engaging, and dedicated SAT English expert to join our team at our location in Central Bangkok, just minutes from BTS Ari. We offer a highly competitive hourly rate for this part-time, contract position.
This role is more than just standard tutoring; it involves mentoring, strategizing, and inspiring students. You will work with high-achieving native English speakers from top international and boarding schools. Our goal is to demystify complex reading and writing concepts and teach high-level analytical principles for the SAT English Exam.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, impactful one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions focused on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing sections of the SAT.
- Facilitate deep discussions that explore complex literature, historical texts, and scientific passages.
- Provide real-time feedback on student writings and analytical work during practice tests.
- Design, refine, and implement customized lesson plans and practice materials tailored to individual needs.
- Track student progress meticulously to adjust teaching strategies and ensure score improvements.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- In-depth familiarity with the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing syllabus, including vocabulary, rhetorical synthesis, and command of evidence.
- Strong editorial skills for delivering immediate and constructive critiques.
- Minimum of 2+ years of SAT English tutoring experience with proven student score improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a top-tier global university (preferably in English, Literature, Education, or a related field).
- Native English speaker from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Based full-time in Bangkok, Thailand.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts clearly and engage motivated students.
