Our ‘signature’, in-class TESOL programme in Vietnam and Cambodia involves a time commitment of 150 hours over a 4-week period including a minimum of 14 hours of hands-on teaching practice. Before the TESOL course I had already been teaching for about 2 years so I didn't think that I would benefit too much from taking a TESOL course, but I'm glad that I did because I learned a great deal of new material and how to better organize a lesson (especially a 1.5 hour lesson - common in Vietnam). Now with the certificate I can just about work anywhere and for that I'm happy that I took the course. Peter and the staff at AVSE are wonderful people and made the entire experience a pleasant one, and my classmates throughout the course were great. Even before receiving my certificate (which I have now) I was placed at a school in a beach town immediately following the end of the course. Anyone considering obtaining an in-class TESOL certificate would not go wrong in choosing AVSE as the place to get it - they won't be disappointed.

I couldn't recommend AVSE - TESOL enough! I had booked a course with AVSE (pre-covid) and was no longer able to make my trip due to the outbreak and ended up having to cancel my trip. I contacted AVSE about the possibility of receiving a refund of the deposit I put down to secure a place in the course because I unfortunately lost my job as well due to the current situation. I did read the terms and conditions and knew I wasn't entitled to any kind of refund but they put me in contact with Peter who is the managing director and he couldn't have been more helpful. Peter reached out to me and graciously offered to refund me the deposit I put down which he didn't have to do. Not only was the whole process with AVSE easy and so simple but you're dealing with real people who can sympathise and lend a helping hand when they can. In true aussie spirit, he did what he could and I am so thankful for it.
