Job Description:

Woosong University is looking for an Assistant Professor of English as a Foreign Language to start on April 1st, 2025, in Daejon, South Korea. The position is non-tenure track and full-time. The salary ranges from 27,600,000 to 38,200,000+ Korean Won annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Applicants should have two years of full-time university teaching experience and a two-year master's degree, or three years of teaching experience and a one-year master's degree. Alternatively, a doctoral degree is also accepted. Teaching experience at the primary- or secondary-school level with a government-issued teaching license is suitable. Candidates with degrees in education, English, teaching English, or linguistics will be given special consideration. Professional experience relevant to Woosong University departments/programs may also be accepted. Responsibilities include teaching up to 20 hours per week, academic counseling, participation in student clubs and committees, conducting office hours, and other administrative duties. Special administrative opportunities exist for candidates proficient in Korean and English for translation and interpretation tasks.
