Cambridge Primary and EY Curriculum Coordinator

Job Description:

Start date: As soon as possible.
Salary: Up to 100,000 Thai Baht depending on qualifications and experience.

What we need:
The Cambridge Curriculum Coordinator will work closely with the Primary and Early Years Principal and the Coordinators to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum, a consistent focus on learner development and the ongoing professional development of the teachers, and the implementation of the Cambridge standards at SIBS. He/ She will also be the first point of contact for communication with Cambridge.

Mission & Goals
•Promote SIBS’s Mission and Values
•Align activities with SIBS Strategic Plan and lead the creation of the SIBS Cambridge Action plan
•Support staff and community learning regarding the Cambridge standards

Administration
•Implementing the Cambridge Teaching Standards through Cambridge PDQ Qualifications
•Coordinate the implementation of Cambridge teaching standards across both schools
•Suggest resources to support the programme implementation
•Lead parent education on Cambridge Standards
•Maintain current Cambridge documentation and system for collecting evidence
•Support new families' understanding of constructivism inquiry and play based learning
•Ensure the creation and monitoring of assessment trackers ensuring alignment to learning outcomes
•Participate in staff hiring and appraisal processes
•Coordinates and organise PD of teachers including inhouse and Cambridge mandated workshops
•Report card editing
•Set and follow through with annual KPIs (key performance indicators) that align to the school strategic plan
•Foster partnerships with other Cambridge schools, both local and abroad, to promote International Mindedness at SIBS, and provide greater opportunities for growth of students and teachers

Communication
•Point Person for Cambridge Primary Communication
•Ensure grade level communication among the teaching team.
•Maintain an open line of communication with the Principals and Coordinators
•Welcome Days/ Open Days

Teaching & Learning
•Lead curriculum reviews, programme of inquiries review and collaborating planning and meetings
•Coordinate Timetables for planning and specials
•Induction to Cambridge teaching strategies for new staff and students
•Conduct observations of all teachers and TAs across both (Primary and Early Years) schools
•Ensure teachers have access to programme documentation

Student Development and Assessment
•Empower students to feel responsible and to take action, support students taking action
•Review assessment data for consistency, and accuracy
•Analysis of Assessment Data for the purpose of informing future planning. (formative planning emphasis)
•Plan and support methods of reporting to parents including 3-way Conf. Learning Journey, and other parent meetings

Qualifications:
•Education Degree in a relevant field.
•Professional Teaching qualification/licence/certification as applicable
•Preference will be given to those holding a Master’s degree.
•Preference will be given to candidates that are in Thailand.

Experience:
•5 years‘ professional experience (after obtaining teaching qualification) in teaching primary subjects in a Cambridge International School.
•Solid knowledge of the Cambridge International Curriculum.
•Preference will be given to candidates that have previous experience as Cambridge Curriculum Coordinators.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
•Fluent English speaker (minimum C1 fluency)
•Strong presentation, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
•Competency in class management, time management, interpersonal relations, and teamwork.
•Adaptable, patient, flexible, devoted, and a positive outlook.
