Job Description:

PBISS International School, located in Koh Samui, Surat Thani, is seeking a qualified and motivated Deputy Head of Secondary. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of at least ฿80,000 per month.

The ideal candidate will possess an education degree and a strong background or interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The Deputy Head of Secondary will play a crucial leadership role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring student well-being, and supporting academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pastoral care and student welfare, being present during crucial times such as arrivals and breaks, and addressing student conduct and mental health needs.
- Oversee academic administration, including assessments and reporting, and support curriculum design and timetable planning.
- Participate in staff development and recruitment, providing mentorship and contributing to professional development initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate school events, maintain the school calendar, and organise assemblies and school trips.
- Implement and monitor school policies, draft communication materials, and maintain classroom displays.
- Assist with student transitions and act as a safeguarding contact.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised teaching qualification and a degree in a STEM-related field.
- Extensive experience in secondary education, including leadership roles.
- Expertise in STEM education, student welfare, and academic management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with experience in assessments and staff development.

Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in international or multicultural school settings.
- Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curricula.
- A collaborative and approachable leadership style.
