Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced Early Years Homeroom Teacher for Nursery through Kindergarten 3. The successful candidate will lead the class, plan and deliver high-quality Early Years learning experiences, and create a joyful, secure, and inclusive environment where young learners can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is confident working in an international kindergarten setting and who enjoys integrating new students smoothly into established routines while maintaining continuity and structure for full-time learners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the IEYC and English National Curriculum.
Lead a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment for Nursery, K1–K3 students.
Use play-based and inquiry-based approaches, including singing, movement, storytelling, and hands-on exploration.
Support children from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying English language abilities, including EAL learners.
Successfully integrate short-term students into classroom routines, learning activities, and social groups.
Foster strong social-emotional development and positive behaviour in line with Early Years best practice.
Observe, assess, and document student progress, contributing to reports and parent communication as required.
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, specialist teachers, and school leadership.
Maintain high standards of child safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing.
Create an engaging classroom environment through effective organisation, displays, and learning resources.
Requirements
Native English speaker.
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
Proven experience teaching Nursery, K1, K2, or K3, ideally in an international kindergarten or international school.
Strong understanding of IEYC, play-based learning, and inquiry-led teaching.
Experience working with children from multiple cultures and language backgrounds.
Confident, warm classroom leader with strong organisational and communication skills.
