JOB DESCRIPTION:

Valor International Scholars (VIS) in Anseong, South Korea, is in search of a dedicated and qualified ELL Teacher. The role involves teaching and supporting students with beginner to TOEFL-level language acquisition needs. The teacher will also be responsible for enhancing ELL curriculum, working closely with core subject staff, and providing ELL support in classes for grades 7-10. At VIS, we emphasize small class sizes and a diverse range of educational options. The ideal candidate should be prepared to teach various subjects and adapt to changing topics annually to cater to student needs. All teachers at VIS are expected to create a nurturing educational environment where students can develop and excel academically. The teacher must design effective lessons and implement engaging instructional methods to help students reach their academic potential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited English-instructed program

- Completion of a teacher licensure program in an English-speaking country OR

- Five years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area

- Passion for teaching a Biblical Worldview in a Christian education setting

- Demonstrated work ethic and role-modeling abilities

- Active involvement in a church community and continuous spiritual growth

- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn

Start Date: Mid-August 2026 (Initial contract for two years)

Grades: 7-10
