Chiang Rai International School (CRIS) is looking for a dedicated and qualified Elementary Music Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. The ideal candidate will inspire students' love for music and contribute to their academic, social, and creative development in our international school environment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field
- Preferred teaching certification or license
- Experience in teaching music at the elementary level
- Understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Ability to teach basic music theory, vocal music, rhythm, movement, and introductory instrumental skills
- Strong skills in classroom management, organization, communication, and collaboration
- Experience in an international school setting is advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging music lessons for elementary students, aligned with the school curriculum
- Teach foundational music skills such as rhythm, pitch, singing, movement, and basic music theory
- Prepare students for performances, assemblies, and special events
- Evaluate and document student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership for interdisciplinary learning
- Maintain lesson plans, assessments, and necessary documentation
- Communicate with parents about student progress as needed
- Participate in school events, professional development, and staff meetings
