About the Role:
As the English Academic Lead, you will be instrumental in shaping the educational strategy of the English department. Your responsibilities will include mentoring teachers, designing academic programs, and serving as a key liaison within the student community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Academic Planning: Develop and implement the long-term educational goals for the English department.
- Curriculum Innovation & Oversight: Lead the introduction, review, and enhancement of the UK Curriculum.
- Teacher Empowerment & Mentorship: Provide professional development, conduct classroom observations, and offer expert mentorship to teaching staff.
- Academic Standards & Assessment: Establish and maintain rigorous assessment standards for outstanding student outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as an academic ambassador, liaising with parents and the community regarding academic progress and school initiatives.
Requirements:
- Native English Speaker or high-level English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching and academic leadership with the UK Curriculum.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Residing in or willing to relocate to Mae Sot, Thailand.
