🌍 Position: English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teacher

Due to a recent rise in enrollment, RBIS International School is seeking a qualified Primary School EAL Teacher to join our academic team this school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing department, with future prospects for leadership roles as the team expands.
🔍 We’re Looking For Someone Who Can:
• Inspire students with a genuine passion for teaching and learning
• Support EAL learners across primary and middle school levels
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group instruction
• Write and track individual language plans, using school systems effectively
• Train and collaborate with class teachers to support EAL learners across subjects
• Support the academic and emotional transition for students new to English
âś… Essential Requirements:
• CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent certification
• Demonstrated experience teaching EAL students
• Ability to work flexibly across various learning needs
• Experience using student data to set progress targets and monitor outcomes
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and language accessibility
🧑‍🏫 Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Teaching & Learning
• Plan, structure, and deliver engaging, well-paced lessons
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learner needs
• Provide meaningful feedback and conduct timely assessment
• Integrate SEN and EAL strategies into your teaching
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and motivating learning environment
• Report accurately on student progress and attainment
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students and families
Professional Practice
• Maintain excellent curriculum and subject knowledge
• Promote British values and uphold the school’s ethos
• Use ICT effectively for teaching and class management
• Interpret and apply national/local student data to guide learning outcomes
• Contribute to a culture of reflective teaching and ongoing development
Assessment & Reporting
• Track student progress in line with school policy
• Use assessment data to inform planning and differentiation
• Provide regular feedback to students and communicate progress with parents and leaders
• Ensure written reports are clear, accurate, and constructive
Professional Development
• Participate in school CPD days and seek additional training opportunities
• Stay current with local and global educational trends
• Share best practices and contribute to departmental improvement initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
• Lead or participate in after-school activities and clubs
• Support house events, student community initiatives, and academic trips
• Accompany residential excursions as needed
• Play an active role in ensuring student safety and well-being across campus
