Job Description:

The School of Information Technology at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Bangkok is seeking two full-time English Language Specialists. These positions involve teaching English language courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as staff at the School of Information Technology.

Candidates should be young, enthusiastic, non-smoking native English speakers with experience in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Thailand. A master’s degree in TEFL, TESOL, or ELT, along with an international TEFL/TESOL certificate and a valid TOEIC score of at least 850 or CEFR Level C2 is required. Applicants must be proficient in using IT-equipped classrooms and should be comfortable teaching classes of 25-30 students. Experience in online teaching, material and course redesign, and collaboration with a proactive professional team is also required. The role includes editing academic texts and working 30 hours per week full-time.

The salary ranges from 35,000 to 50,000 baht per month, with an additional 8,000 baht per month for accommodation. Benefits include medical insurance, a work permit, 10 days of business leave, 15 days of medical leave, and Thai public holidays. Teaching sessions are 2-3 hours long with a maximum of 12 hours of teaching time per week.

KMUTT is situated in a park-like environment 9 kilometers from Bangkok in Thonburi. Two-bedroom, furnished, air-conditioned apartments are available at a cost of 7,500-9,500 THB per month, just a 10-minute walk from the university.
