Job Description:
CHAVEN is an English Kid's Cafe that seeks to be a haven for children in a society that puts a lot of pressure on learning English. At CHAVEN, we give children an opportunity to interact with English in a relaxed and unique learning environment through interactive activites such as art, gym, and music. Our goal is to give children a fun learning experience with a special focus on play and child-led interaction.
We are located in the Cheongju Hyundai Department Store, and are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to join our team. Those who join our team will help lead mini classes, and spend a lot of time playing with children in both class and free play settings. A job at CHAVEN is a fresh change of pace from the typical school/hagwon job as we are a kid's cafe and not an educational institution. Therefore, this position can be thought of as a customer service job with a special focus on English and play. Those who apply for this position must love children, as this is a high energy job. Children come through our doors full of excitement and ready to play! We seek to provide an upbeat and fun environement, all while nurturing the little minds that come through our doors.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Greeting and guiding children as they enter
-Leading mini classes (Curriculum is provided)
-Interacting with and playing with children in English
-Assisting with facility upkeep and cleaning
Qualifications and Skills:
-Native English speaker (Fluent non-native speakers may also apply.)
-F and H visas
-Must be highly energetic and absolutely love playing with children
Conditions:
-Full-time salary: 2,500,000-2,600,000 KRW (monthly)
-Days: 5 days a week (can negotiate days, must include one weekend day) (At this time, we are specifically looking for someone to work on Sundays as their weekend day.)
-Hours: 10:30AM-7:30PM (This includes one hour break.)
*PLEASE NOTE: Peak hours are the weekends and national holidays as we are located in the Hyundai Department Store. Therefore, candidates will be required to work one weekend day, and possibly on national holidays.
-1 year contract, with one month severance pay upon completion of contract
-50% health insurance coverage, national pension
-Housing not provided but this is open for discussion
-11 days paid vacation
