Job Announcement: English Teacher (Full-time)

Thoengwittayakhom School, a government secondary school in Chiang Rai province, is seeking a Native English-speaking or Non-Native English-speaking teacher to teach English subjects to Thai students from M.1 – M.3 (Mini English Program) for the second semester of the academic year 2024-2025.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
2. Native English Speaker or Non-Native English Speaker (Male/Female)
3. Teaching qualifications and experience are an advantage
4. Certificates of English proficiency test results (TOEIC, TOEFL, etc.) from a reliable institution and The Teachers’ Council of Thailand (Kurusapha) if applicable
5. Good attitude towards teaching, hard-working, strong interpersonal skills, and a service-oriented mindset

Note: The school reserves the right to waive certain qualifications at its discretion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Full-time teaching of English for grades 7-9
2. Be present at school from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
3. Handle approximately 15-20 teaching and working periods per week
4. Prepare mid-term and final examinations
5. Responsible for the academic progress of students
6. Help students improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through individual and group sessions (once a week)
7. Check and assess students’ work
8. Train students for competitions
9. Attend school social events if necessary

Salary Rate: 27,000 – 30,000 THB per month

School Support:

1. Direct hire with a 12-month contract
2. Provision of teaching supplies: computers, copies, printers, etc.
3. Classrooms equipped with computers, televisions, microphones, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi
