Job Description:

Shanghai French School is currently seeking dedicated Middle and High School English Teachers with experience in EFL/ESL to join our team.

We have two positions available:
• Yangpu Campus – position to be filled as soon as possible.
• Qingpu Campus – position starting in February 2026. (To cover a marternity leave)

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about contributing to our dynamic and rewarding bilingual program.

At Shanghai French School, our curriculum is truly unique, blending the French national curriculum with elements from British and American educational systems. At the senior level, students pursue the American option of the French Baccalaureate, providing a rich and diverse educational experience.

Main Responsibilities:
• Uphold the school’s vision, mission, and core values.
• Teach English in secondary school up to IGCSE level (Language A, Literature, and ESL).
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in assessment, including the creation and use of tests, as well as differentiated instruction.
• Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons.
• Experience with EAL (English as an Additional Language) is highly desirable.

Profil:
• Native English speaker
• Willingness to understand and adopt the French education system and work with students who use English as a second or foreign language.
• Interest in drama would be a plus.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in English Language coupled with a teaching qualification or a bachelor’s in education specializing in English Language.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and engage in the broader school community and extracurricular activities.
• Please note: This position is not suitable for TEFL/CELTA-certified teachers.
