Looking for an opportunity to teach abroad, experience Taiwan, and make a meaningful impact in the classroom?
HeadStart to Success Academy is an established English school located in Luodong, Yilan County, about an hour from Taipei. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dependable English teacher to join our team.
Yilan offers a great balance for teachers who want to experience Taiwan without the crowds and high cost of living in Taipei. You'll be surrounded by mountains, beaches, hot springs, great food, and easy access to Taipei on your days off.
Position & Benefits
NT$650–700/hour
20+ guaranteed teaching hours per week
Additional benefits include:
NT$10,000 contract completion bonus
NT$20,000 re-signing bonus
National Health Insurance
Work permit & ARC sponsorship
Paid office/training hours when required
Teaching materials and curriculum provided

What You'll Be Teaching
Our students range from young learners to teenagers and adults.
Classes focus on practical, communicative English rather than simply memorizing vocabulary and grammar for tests.
We encourage teachers to bring their own personality, creativity, and cultural background into the classroom through:
Conversation • Games • Discussions • Projects • Phonics • Reading • Real-world English
Most classes are held during weekday afternoons and evenings, with some Saturday morning classes.

We're looking for someone who is:
Energetic and engaging in the classroom
Dependable and punctual
Comfortable managing a classroom independently
Willing to prepare and make lessons engaging
Interested in getting to know their students
Open to feedback and professional growth
Looking for more than just a temporary job abroad
Teaching experience is preferred, but attitude, reliability, and the ability to connect with students are equally important to us.
Applicants must meet Taiwan's requirements for a legal work permit.
