Job Description:

Varee Chiangmai School, located near the city center of Chiang Mai, is seeking enthusiastic EP Homeroom Teachers for the 2026 academic year. We are looking for dedicated educators to join our primary department in a full-time capacity for a one-year contract. Our school is renowned in Northern Thailand for its ability to teach both Thai and International Curricula, using modern facilities and well-equipped classrooms.

Candidates should be able to effectively engage learners and successfully deliver a demo lesson as part of the interview process. We prefer applicants who have experience in project-based and active learning and can plan lessons within an integrated curriculum.

Varee Chiangmai School offers a competitive salary, with up to 60,000 THB per month available for qualified teachers with over three years of experience. We prioritize the professional development of our staff through our Teacher Support System (TSS), providing opportunities for both professional and financial growth. Teachers pursuing further credentials will receive support from the school and a salary increase upon completion of their studies.

Benefits include Allianz Medical Insurance (plan 1), work permit and visa renewal covered by the school, nine weeks paid holiday (excluding public holidays), and a diverse selection of free lunches in our food court.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a Teaching Qualification from an accredited institution. We are only considering native English speakers with passports from the UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. TEFL certificates are appreciated but not accepted as a professional teaching qualification. Interested candidates should send their CV and cover letter to recruitment@varee.ac.th.

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.

⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.

⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
