Job Description:

Trainee graduate ESL teacher position

Location: Shantou city, Guangdong, China

Who are we? GTIIT Bilingual school is part of a successful chain of international schools, Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Language School Group (established in 1995). Shantou is in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, population of 5.6 million. A popular tourist destination due to it’s food culture, charming well-preserved historic colonial era architecture in the Old Town, scenic hiking hills and Nan Ao island’s sandy beaches. (for more complete information, google Shantou for images). With a high speed rail station connecting us to Guangzhou, Shenzhen (next to Hong Kong) and Xiamen in one to two hours. Those cities have international airports but our airport also has daily flights to many cities including Beijing and Shanghai. But with a much lower cost of living than these cities, so everything you earn can basically be banked, besides the low apartment rental costs compared to the other cities mentioned before.

Who are we looking for? 

Native-English Speaker

Bachelor’s Degree

Very open to training and development

TEFL or TESOL certification is a plus

Passionate, energetic and dedicated learner

Mon-Fri from 8am- 5:30pm (2 hour lunch break)

Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver English lessons based on the school curriculum- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development

- Participate in school events and activities

- 10 actual hours of classes per week

Starting Date: August 1st 2024 (for one month of training and orientation)

Students: Grades 1-12 （You will be assigned certain grades)

Compensation and Benefits:

1. 15,000 - 17,000 RMB /month

2. Salary paid during school holidays and national statutory holidays. Including winter and summer.

3. Payday is at end of month,  unlike other companies

4. Work and resident permit (Z-visa) will be provided

5. One-time settling in bonus 1500RMB

6. Settling in support including Welcome info pack for Wechat, Alipay, Didi taxi, shared bikes, banking, how to order imported food, cheese, USDA/Australian steak, pasta etc etc

7. Return flight to home country or 7000RMB bonus for contract completion

8. Annual Spring Festival bonus, 1000RMB
