Job Description:

PBISS International School, located in Koh Samui, Surat Thani, is seeking a qualified ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher to join our team. The position offers a competitive salary of at least ฿52,000 per month for a full-time role. Interested candidates are encouraged to send their CVs to saruda.viracha@pbiss.ac.th.

Job Overview:
The ESL teacher will be responsible for providing English language instruction to non-native speakers, focusing on developing skills in speaking, writing, and comprehension. The role involves designing engaging courses and activities to facilitate language acquisition.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and organize coursework and learning materials.
- Monitor and assess student progress, creating reports and individualized plans for those with special needs.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and motivate students to achieve learning goals.
- Conduct over 20 classroom lessons per week.
- Prepare lesson plans using Google Classroom.
- Plan and participate in multiple events and extracurricular activities (ECAs).
- Attend departmental and staff meetings.
- Cover for absent colleagues and perform daily duty roles.
- Organize school trips and Christmas shows.
- Write term rubrics, complete gradebook tasks, and create student targets.
- Engage in personal target setting meetings with students.

Requirements:
- A degree in a language-focused field and an ESL or TESOL certification.
- Proficiency in basic software tools, preferably Google Suites, for administrative tasks.
- Patient, resilient, and flexible personality with excellent communication skills.
- Command of spoken and written Russian is an advantage.
- Availability to work on weekends and evenings as needed.

As part of PBISS, the ESL teacher will develop individualized educational plans, assess student progress through homework and tests, and foster positive relationships with parents and fellow teachers to support student development.
