Recommendation letter on Bryan Wu.

Dreaming of teaching English in a beautiful island. The beauty of this island through pictures and videos were so captivating that I dreamed of being there physically.

I started my search for an English teaching job in Taiwan through job sourcing websites. After numerous applications, I finally got a response from  Bryan Wu @esljobtaiwan. It was my first encounter with a Taiwanese. I've read that Taiwanese are very nice and helpful, but I'd never experienced it, but my contact with Bryan wasn't far from the truth.

The interview process was seamless. Few days after the interview, he emailed me that he has gotten me a job, I was so excited! Finally I'd be going to this beautiful place I've always dreamed of! The visa application process was arduous, but Bryan and my new boss were very patient and supportive, trust me, I've never seen anything like that. They sent all the requested documents and waited patiently for me to get to Taiwan, this made me feel important and welcomed.

Finally I got to Taiwan after 8 long months. (Yes they waited 8 months for me. They obviously had other options, but they chose  to wait for me to finish all the process. That's to tell you how nice, supportive and patient Taiwanese people are). I couldn't stop loving the island less, it's much more beautiful than it looks in pictures and videos. More also, they people are so nice and accommodating. They helped me settle in very quickly. My boss helped secure my accomodation and even went as far as lending me a scooter so that I could have easy shuttle to work. I met supper amazing colleagues and very interesting students. At first they were shy. (Some Taiwanese people are known to be reserved or introverted). But when we got along, I discovered how wonderful they are.

Teaching here is really fun and exciting, while I teach them English, they try to make me learn some words in their language and I can see how excited they get when I say the words or phrases correctly.

I haven't explored they whole of Taiwan yet, but I will sure do so.

Initially, I planned to be here for just a couple years, but with all I've experienced so far, I'm gonna be here much longer than I imagined!

Teaching English in Taiwan is everything I ever dreamed of and more!

Thanks to Bryan Wu @esljobtaiwan for making it a dream come true!

As I began my job search to teach ESL in Taiwan, I was connected to ESL Jobs Taiwan recruiter Mr. Bryan Wu. Bryan was a tremendous help to me. He provided several job leads and lots of details about teaching in Taiwan including the government requirements. He was especially frank with me about certain "ideal types" that most schools look for, but he willingly worked on my behalf and I am very happy with the school and my new colleagues. Bryan is a very caring and insightful recruiter. If you follow his directions with the details he provides up front, your job search and transition to living and working in Taiwan will be quite smooth.  I was hired the very next week from my arrival and I have a great apartment just a 5 minute walk to my school.

Sincerely,

Shalita Jones, USA

Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
