Job Description:

Thammasat University’s Faculty of Learning Sciences and Education is seeking a full-time native English-speaking teacher to join its secondary school in Pathumtani. The school is committed to fostering a learning environment that encourages both intellectual and personal growth for students and staff.

The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be teaching English. Additional roles include developing curriculum, managing international programs, and coordinating global training sessions and workshops.

Applicants must be native English speakers with at least a bachelor's degree in any field. Prior teaching experience in subjects such as English, English Literature, English Studies, TEFL, or Curriculum Design is highly preferred. A strong command of spoken and written English is crucial, as well as the ability to adapt language for different student proficiency levels. Applicants should be comfortable working with secondary-level learners and possess the ability to engage across cultures with effective communication and an open-minded attitude.

The position offers a monthly salary of 41,770 Baht, which includes housing and an additional allowance. This compensation reflects both teaching and program coordination responsibilities. Additional benefits include assistance with visa and work permit applications, government-sponsored medical and dental insurance, and access to university funding for conferences after one year of service.

Teachers will receive ten days of paid vacation and fifteen days of paid sick leave annually. The work schedule is flexible, and staff have access to campus facilities like the library, fitness center, and swimming pool for a nominal fee. Transportation to and from major Bangkok hubs and shopping areas is available via university shuttles, offering convenience for those commuting from the city or nearby areas.

Interested candidates should submit their CV, completed application form, a copy of their passport photo page, a recent headshot, academic transcripts, and a brief video introduction (1–2 minutes) by email to tss.hr@lsed.tu.ac.th by July 7, 2025.

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Thailand before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.

⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

⚠️ Watch out for agencies that charge fees or take a cut of your salary. Good agencies get paid by the schools - not by taking money from you. If you’re not sure how they make money, just ask. If they say they take a percentage, that’s a red flag - avoid them and let us know so we can ban them from the site. Unlike other job boards that allow these kinds of agencies to advertise at your expense, we don’t - we’ve already banned several to stop teachers from being underpaid or exploited.

⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
