JOB DESCRIPTION:
Valor International Scholars (VIS) in Anseong, South Korea, is in search of a dedicated and skilled Art Teacher for grades 7-12. The teacher will instruct various art courses such as drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and art history. Expectations include adapting courses annually to cater to the diverse student needs while maintaining small class sizes.
Additionally, the Art Teacher will cultivate a Kingdom-minded educational environment where students can enhance their creativity and artistic talents. Responsibilities involve developing organized lessons, fostering creativity through instructional methods, and nurturing students' technical skills along with an appreciation for visual arts from a Biblical perspective.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field from an English language institution
- Completion of a teacher licensure program in an English-speaking country or a minimum of five years of art teaching experience
- Ability to integrate a Biblical Worldview into art education
- Strong work ethic and role model qualities for students
- Demonstrated active relationship with Jesus Christ and involvement in a local church
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching middle and high school art
- Experience with AP Art courses
- Skills-based teaching approach promoting creativity and critical thinking
- Proficient in managing art studio environments and safety protocols
