Job Description:

BerkeleyEdu in Haeundae and Dongnae, Busan, is currently hiring homeroom teachers for kindergarten and English subject teachers for elementary school students. The positions are available starting March 2026.

Job Description:

At BerkeleyEdu, you will work as a kindergarten homeroom teacher alongside a Korean-speaking assistant teacher. Additionally, you will serve as an English subject teacher for elementary school students without assistance.

Responsibilities Overview:

• Conduct classes as per schedule

• Prepare class materials

• Assess and report student progress (every 3 months for Elementary, once a year for Kindergarten)

• Collaborate with other teachers, co-teachers, and administration

• Attend necessary meetings, workshops, and events (up to 4 weekend days annually)

Requirements:

• Citizenship from the U.S.A, Canada, U.K, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa

• Possess all required documents (apostilled nationwide criminal background check and diploma from a 4-year accredited university)

• Clean medical health check

Working Conditions:

• Student Type: Kindergarten and Elementary School

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.

• Break Times: 12:20~12:55 (35min Lunch), 14:50~15:15 (25min)

• Prep Time: One 45-minute class period daily

• Teaching Time: 35 Kindergarten Classes + 10 Elementary Classes per Week

• Class Length: Kindergarten Classes 35 minutes, Elementary Classes 45 minutes

• Maximum 13 students per class

• Native Teacher Workshop training provided by the Ministry of Education

Salary:

2.4M - 2.9M KRW per month (negotiable based on experience)

Benefits:

• Insured with 4 National Insurances

• Severance Pay upon completion of employment (minimum 1-year contract)

• 15 days of vacation plus National Korean Holidays yearly (set and announced by the school in advance)

Housing:

Provided housing or housing allowance

Maximum 400,000KRW Housing Allowance

500,000KRW deposit required if using school-provided housing for any potential damage.
