Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Specialist
REPORTS TO: Director of IT & Media and Deputy Director of IT

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
The primary responsibility is to work as part of the IT team focused on the mission and goals of the School and to assist the IT Director and IT Deputy Director in implementing and managing IT infrastructure and network, Cybersecurity, Implementing Edtech applications and running IT support operations.


JOB DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS:
The candidate will work with vendors to transform the current IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
The candidate is expected to:
Implement new IT infrastructure and network.
Maintain IT infrastructure and network.
Implement cybersecurity systems and perform active security monitoring.
Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and implement regular patch management.
Protect the school systems from cyber threats.
Identify and perform cyber incident response.
The candidate is expected to have the following attributes:

The candidate is expected to work with the IT Director and Deputy IT Director to develop and implement cybersecurity standards across all the schools.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Standards and policies (20%)
Work with the IT Director/Deputy IT Director to develop IT infrastructure standards and policies.
Work with the IT Director/Deputy IT Director to develop cybersecurity standards and policies.
Work with the IT Director/Deputy IT Director to develop data classification and protection standards and policies. The standards and policies must be in line with the Thai PDPA law.
Work with the IT Director/Deputy IT Director to develop cybersecurity incident response playbooks.
Work with the IT Director/Deputy IT Director to develop DRP (disaster recovery plan).

IT infrastructure (30%)
Evaluate IT infrastructure solutions and propose recommendations to the IT Director/Deputy IT Director for approval.
Refresh the schools’ IT infrastructure architecture in accordance with the defined standards.
Implement IT infrastructure projects such as cloud and network.
Assist the IT Director/Deputy IT Director in procuring IT infrastructure and software.
Maintaining and provisioning Active Directory, Google Domain and user accounts.
Technical documentation of procedures that can be used by IT operations staff to provide end user support.
Provide technical training to IT operations staff.
Provide level 2 support for IT infrastructure issues.

Cybersecurity (50%)
Maintain cyber risk register for the schools.
Evaluate cybersecurity solutions and propose recommendations to the IT Director/Deputy IT Director.
Implement cybersecurity projects in accordance with the industry best practices.
Implement active network, cloud and security monitoring using SIEM or XDR.
Work with stakeholders to define and implement user access privileges and control structures.
Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
Implement holistic backup as per the 3-2-1 backup strategy.
Implement data classification and loss prevention in accordance with the Thai PDPA law.
Monitor threat advisories and identify vulnerabilities within the network.
Apply security patches for known vulnerabilities, including automated security patch management.
Conduct periodic tabletop cyber exercise.
Lead cybersecurity incident response.
Conduct annual disaster recovery and business continuity exercises.
Provide support for cybersecurity issues.
OTHER:
No criminal record. The candidate needs to provide a recent criminal police record check certificate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.
At least 3 years experience leading infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
Experience and skill in servers, network and cybersecurity are essential.
Native speaker of English or if NNES, a minimum of TOEIC Level of 660 is required.
