Job Description:

The EFL Program in the School of Digital Humanities and Computational Social Sciences at KAIST is looking for camp instructors with excellent teaching and education background.
Instructors will be teaching academic English skills to high-school students who have been admitted into KAIST.

Number of openings: 10 instructors

Requirements: Applicats must have an E1 or F type visa, not an E2 visa.
Master's degree preferred in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Linguistics; native fluency.

Job description: All classes and meetings will be in-person at KAIST main campus(Daejeon)
* There will be an orientation in December 2024(zoom/in person)
- teach from 9:15 AM to 8:55 PM, Monday through Friday (1 hour and 30 minutes break for lunch and dinner)
- attend meetings and special activities as required
- evaluate students and submit final grades
- assist in developing materials as necessary

Period: Jan. 9(Thursday) to Jan. 27(Monday)
- Check-in: January 8, 2025(Wednesday afternoon).
- The closing ceremony will be online(January 27, 2025)
Note, classes are generally from 9:15 AM to 8:55 PM. There are some special activities scheduled throughout the camp which are not included in the teaching hours such as 'Sports Day with TAs', 'Guest Speaker', etc.

Payment: 41,000won per hour is paid for teaching(including breaks between classes/excluding lunch and dinner breaks), meetings, and special activities(opening and closing ceremony, etc.).
The final payment is approximately 3.9 million won.

Housing: single/double dormitory available
*The assigned dormitory is a building used by KAIST graduate students, and some areas, such as the shower rooms may not be fully private.
