NIRA International School is seeking qualified candidates for the role of International Teacher. This position is full-time and reports to the Head of School. The International Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality education in alignment with the Cambridge International Curriculum. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student learning, supporting academic and personal development, and fostering a positive classroom environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum and Instruction:
- Plan and deliver lessons that engage and challenge students, meeting Cambridge curriculum objectives.
- Implement teaching strategies that promote active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Prepare students for assessments such as Cambridge Progression Tests, Checkpoint, or IGCSE.
2. Classroom Management and Student Development:
- Establish a respectful classroom environment that promotes independence and positive behavior.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
3. Professional Collaboration and Growth:
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum implementation and school policies.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
- Support school events and community programs that showcase student achievements.
Candidate Profile:
Languages: Proficiency in English is required, with native or near-native proficiency preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject area (international qualification preferred).
- Teaching certification, license, or recognized qualification (e.g., PGCE, TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent).
Skills:
- Experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth in an international school setting.
This role is open to foreign nationals. Salary is negotiable.
