About KDLI:
KDLI, part of the Joint Forces Military University, aims to equip the Korean military with essential communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking to navigate the evolving global landscape. Teaching various foreign languages and the Korean language to foreign servicemen, KDLI boasts a diverse faculty dedicated to immersive language education.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and deliver English instruction in alignment with KDLI standards.
- Develop lesson plans using varied teaching techniques to enhance students' communication skills.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Adapt curriculum to cater to individual student needs and maintain classroom discipline.
- Manage learning time effectively and oversee out-of-classroom activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university in an English-speaking country for non-Korean applicants.
- Master's degree or higher with six years of residence experience for Korean applicants.
- Preference for candidates with relevant advanced degrees, teaching certificates, teaching experience, military background, and published articles.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: 35,000 won per teaching hour, higher for outstanding instructors.
- Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 10:30-15:20, Fri 08:30-12:30, tutoring hours 15:30-17:00.
- Housing, vacation benefits, national pension, health insurance, and on-site facilities provided.
