Kindergarten English Teacher (IEP) - Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
TESOL Tree is seeking a passionate Kindergarten English Teacher for our program inspired by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles in Bangkok. Our approach places the child at the center of learning, fostering English language development through play, exploration, communication, and meaningful interaction. We aim to create a safe, confident, and happy environment that builds strong foundations in English language skills.
Our teachers work in a warm and supportive atmosphere, where relationships, routines, and emotional wellbeing are valued equally with academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate English learning experiences for kindergarten learners.
- Support language development through play-based, child-led, and experiential activities.
- Develop early communication skills, including listening, speaking, vocabulary, and early phonics.
- Create a calm, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress in line with EYFS-style assessment.
- Collaborate with Thai teachers and classroom support staff.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Native or near-native English proficiency.
- Experience with EYFS or Early Years.
- Experience working with Kindergarten/Early Years children.
- Understanding of early childhood development and child wellbeing.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing teaching approach.
- Professional, flexible, and culturally sensitive mindset.
Highly Desirable:
- Recognized English teaching qualification.
- Knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
- Experience teaching early phonics (e.g., Jolly Phonics or similar).
- Experience in IEP, bilingual, or international Kindergarten programs.
- Previous experience living or working in Thailand or Southeast Asia.
