Job Description:

Advanced Learning Bangkok is seeking a Lead Instructor for a Pre-Collegiate Seminar located in Central Bangkok, a short walk from BTS Ari. This part-time contract position offers a highly competitive hourly rate, starting at ฿1,000 per hour.

The role involves guiding students through a transformative seminar program, focusing on reading and open discussion to provide an authentic preview of the college learning experience. Students are native English speakers from top international and boarding schools. As the mentor, you will help them develop clarity of thought, confidence in expression, and curiosity to face new challenges.

Key Features of the Program:
1. Work with elite demographics: Students are native English speakers from prestigious schools.
2. Provide real-time feedback: Offer direct, real-time editorial feedback on student writings.
3. Develop college application skills: Help students craft their personal statement seed for future applications.
4. Maintain high academic rigor: Enhance students' capacity for rigorous academic dialogue.

Core Responsibilities:
- Lead exploratory discussions on complex literature, philosophy, and global concepts.
- Provide dynamic editing and critique of student writings in real-time.
- Mentor students to improve their clarity of thought and confidence in expression.
- Assist students in conceptualizing topics for future university essays.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Native English speaker from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Resides full-time in Bangkok, Thailand.
- Holds a distinguished background in Literature, Philosophy, Humanities, or a related Liberal Arts field.
- Possesses elite editorial skills for immediate, constructive critiques.
- Engaging presence that encourages intelligent student participation.
- Strong understanding of the academic expectations of top universities.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills.
