Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) teacher to deliver engaging, inquiry-based instruction in English, Math, Science, Humanities, design.
The ideal candidate will foster students’ intellectual curiosity, intercultural awareness, and holistic development in alignment with the IB philosophy and MYP framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality MYP lessons that align with IB standards and practices.
Use the MYP unit planner to design engaging, interdisciplinary units of inquiry.
Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes international-mindedness and lifelong learning.
Assess student learning using formative and summative assessment strategies aligned with IB MYP criteria.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth and reflection.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and achievements.
Collaborate with other MYP faculty members in interdisciplinary planning and curriculum development.
Participate in ongoing professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.
Contribute to a positive school culture through involvement in extracurricular activities, advisory programs, or service learning.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in a culturally diverse environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in education or the specific subject area
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
Strong understanding of the IB MYP framework, philosophy, and assessment model.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
Preferred:
IB MYP training or certification.
Experience teaching in an international or intercultural school setting.
Familiarity with digital learning tools and educational technology.
