British Mandarin International School in Bangkok is seeking a Native English Speaking (NES) Secondary Biology Teacher with a monthly salary of at least ฿85,000 for a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Biology lessons to secondary students, following the British Curriculum and Cambridge frameworks.
- Cover topics such as cell biology, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics, homeostasis, inheritance, variation, evolution, and ecology.
- Design and oversee practical experiments, ensuring safe use of equipment.
- Develop semester course outlines and weekly lesson plans with clear objectives.
- Assess student progress through various assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records and submit grades using the School Bright system.
- Support students in preparing for Cambridge assessments and external exams.
- Collaborate with the Science department and other faculties for cross-curricular activities.
- Participate in science fairs, STEM events, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory and classroom environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, Science Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Biology or General Science at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with the British Curriculum and Cambridge science frameworks.
- Practical laboratory experience and skills in conducting experiments.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Open to Thai nationals, Filipino nationals, and other nationalities.
- Experience in a British Curriculum or international school setting is advantageous.
- Willingness to engage in Cambridge-recognised professional development.
