Job Title: Primary Classroom Assistant (CA) November 2024
Location: KK International School, Mae Sot, Tak Province, Thailand
Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm)
Reports to: Classroom Teacher and Primary Teacher Lead
Job Summary:
The primary-level classroom assistant ensures the classroom environment is maintained, and
that the students are settled-in each morning, so that the classroom teacher can focus on
academic activities with the students. The classroom assistant is also responsible for
supervision of life skills and behaviour management outside the classroom during lunch and
outdoor time. The assistant will also assist classroom teachers’ in preparing students to pack
up and go home.
Classroom Assistant Responsibilities
• Assisting with morning gate duty and drop-off and/or pick-up
• Assisting student check-in and taking attendance
• Assisting students to pack away belongings before class
• Preparing the classroom before classes and subject lessons
• Maintaining classroom resources and stationery (classroom checklist)
• Communicating with parents on nutrition and life skills (non-academic) issues
• Supervising and managing student behaviour during lunch and outdoor times
• Reporting to classroom teacher on emotional and behavioural issues
• Assist with maintaining regular documentation and Google Drive updates
• Ensuring students follow school and class rules.
• Classroom activity photo updates
• Familiar with all KKIS policies, procedures and documentation
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or coursework in
education or child development preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
• All subjects are taught in English language so professional proficiency in English is
required.
• Strong observational skills to monitor and report on student behavior and progress.
• Effective classroom management techniques.
