Job Description: Primary Humanities Teacher (Geography and History)
School: KK International School (KKIS), Thailand
Curriculum: British Curriculum
Location: Remote, Northwestern Thailand (Thai-Myanmar Border)
Job Type and Start: Full-time to start May 2025

Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:
● Teach Humanities (Geography and History) to Key Stage 1 and 2 students, aligned with the British Curriculum.
● Incorporate elements of English and PSHE/Citizenship into lessons where applicable.
● Incorporate life skills and the 4Cs (Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking) into teaching practices.
2. ELL Support Program:
● Conduct ELL sessions for lower-proficiency students from non-core subjects to provide ELL-level English, Science, and other non-core subject support.
● Collaborate with Homeroom Teachers, Maths, Science and ELL Specialists for curriculum alignment and student progress.
● Coordinate with other subject teachers to support the overall development of students.
3. Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
● Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning and progress.
● Maintain detailed records and provide reports to parents and the administration.
● Upload all documentation on Google Drive and student interaction with Google Classroom.
4. Supervisory Duties:
● Supervise Classroom Assistants and/or students during outdoor breaks.
● Support after-school extracurricular activities on a rotational basis.
5. Collaboration & Teamwork:
● Work collaboratively with a diverse, international team of teachers and administrative staff.
● Actively participate in professional development sessions, staff meetings, and school events.
6. Communication with Stakeholders:
● Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians, updating them on students’ progress, challenges, and achievements via KKIS communication platform and tools.
● Attend parent-teacher meetings and other school-organized events.
7. Additional Responsibilities:
● Adhere to and implement KKIS policies and procedures.
● Take part in extracurricular activities, school trips, or other events as needed.

Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a school setting.
Skills:
● Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
● Familiarity with the British Curriculum and international school teaching practices preferred.
Compliance:
● Must provide a police background check from the candidate’s home country.
● Submission of two references from former employers or character referees is mandatory.

Salary and Benefits
● Salary 35K THB Baht depending on qualifications and experience, according to KKIS Staff Policy.
● Non-B Visa and Work Permit.
● 12 month’s salary (minimum) with housing allowance (5K THB) and Provident Fund.
● Friendly and supportive international team and comfortable working environment.
● Annual leave and public holidays in accordance with the Thai government.
● Full contract with probationary period (3 months).
